Fr. Godfrey Holdstock retires as assistant priest but continues to celebrate a Sunday Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea when he is in Broadstairs.
2014
Rev. Deacon Charles Parker, ordained for the diocese of Arundel and Brighton, is now resident in Broadstairs and begins to exercise his ministry in the parish.
2012
The Faithful Companions of Jesus leave Broadstairs

Work on building the new parish hall begins.

Work on building the new parish hall begins.

Fr. David Caine is transferred to Canterbury and is appointed an Honorary Canon. Fr. Philip Graham Seed becomes parish priest.
2009
Godfrey Holdstock is ordained priest in Our Lady star of the Sea and takes up his post as assistant priest.
1999
Fr. Ronald Duggan retires and Fr. David Caine is appointed parish priest.
1994
Matthew Dickens is ordained priest in Our Lady Star of the Sea. He eventually becomes Monsignor Matthew Dickens and is appointed Vicar General of the diocese of Southwark.
1990
Fr. Peter Farmer resigns and Fr. Ronald Duggan is appointed parish priest.
1983
Fr. Peter Farmer (died 2005) arrives.
1982
Canon O’Friel resigned and the parish was then served by Fr. Snaith (died 1991), Fr. Barry Angus (died 2017) and Fr. Terence Quinlan (died 1993).
1981
Kenneth Knight ordained a permanent deacon.
1980
Fr. David Maher was appointed parish priest of Dover.
1971
Fr. David Maher (died 2014) arrived as curate.
1969
Parish handed over to the diocese of Southwark. Canon John O’Friel (died 1987) was parish priest; Fr. Daniel Futter was curate until 1971.

Fr. Abbot Thatcher OSB resigns as parish priest. Fr. Aidan back for a short while.

Fr. Aidan M c Ardle OSB then Fr. Abbot Thatcher OSB .

Holy Cross building opened as Thanet’s Catholic secondary school.

Fr. Ethelbert Arnold OSB (died 1966).

Fr. Martin returns (died 1951).

Fr. Martin went to London: Fr. Bede Winslow OSB , Fr. Edward Hull OSB and finally Fr.Wilfred Emery OSB take Fr. Martin’s place.

Fr. Adalbert Amandolini OSB (died 1926) first fully-resident priest.

Fr. Michael Lonegan OSB (died 1909) began to stay in Broadstairs for the weekends.

Fr. Elphege Power OSB has tin church built.

The Rutts moved to Ramsgate, donating land for a tin church in Broadstairs.

1878

Captain and Mrs Rutt moved to Broadstairs, making a chapel in their garden for the celebration of Mass.
